On days like today I just want to fly for a long time. But one of the trade offs for stable air is that you can really only fly late in the evening or early in the morning. It's not real wise to fly during the head of the day because the air is so much more active with thermals and the weather can often change quickly. It is worth it for me because at the end of the video you can see I am just skimming along the field with my feet in the grass. There is no other form of aviation that can give you that same ability.
I look forward to some more Spring flying but with the coming of Spring also means it is time to make my annual pilgrimage out West to my second home of Yellowstone for the summer. I will miss my good ol' Tennessee but there will be some good flying out West and some even better fly fishing.
